In South India, Annamalai University is regarded as one of the oldest universities. In 1929, Annamalai University Distance Education was founded. The University Grants Commission (UGC), the Distance Education Council (DEC), the AICTE, the NCTE, the MCI, and the DCI authorize the distance learning programmes offered by AU Distance Learning. Additionally, the Annamalai University DDE was awarded an “A” grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2014.
