The Centre for Open and Distance Learning (earlier Directorate of Distance Education) established in Tezpur University from the year 2011, has contributed significantly in online and distance learning mode of education. The online and distance learning mode has increased the Gross Enrollment Ratio in the state and majority of the population have been recruited by reputed companies on the basis of the degree program that have been issued through different organization accredited by UGC. Companies across the country are recruiting individuals such individuals in various sectors like sales & marketing, financial management, Human Resource management, Operation Management and so on. Full time MBA and Part time MBA courses for Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Masters in Human Resource management (MHRM), and Master of Business Management etc. have been introduced in the educational curriculum of these organizations.
